I have become the woman who turns up to my children’s tennis coaching, swimming lessons and soccer practice with a craft basket! I actually do try to be a little more subtle and sometimes just carry ‘the goods’ in a white A4 envelope. But I have to admit, my felt, scissors, embrodiery thread and Fa la la la Felt patterns are always with me ready to whip up another Christmas decoration! My husband told me the other day that he really loves the decorations I’m making but that I really should bring this level of craftiness to an end once Christmas is over. He’s not keen for this little obsession to move to cross-stitching post- Christmas (and nor am I!). But I’m loving using all of those hours sitting around to do something useful. And believe me these decorations are needed for my new 7.5 foot Christmas tree. Here are some of the latest creations (still without loops for hanging!).

Quesiton, is there a technique to sewing beads, mine look wrong and sit wrong, particularly the round ones. Any ideas?
Thanks
Bobbie
The eyes on the birds were a little tricky to get to stay flat as they only have a hole at the top. I guess my main tip here would be not to pull the thread too tight. If you do it will make the crystal lean on a funny angle. The seed beads weren’t such a problem as I could sew up and through one side and then down and then back up the other…if that makes sense. Good luck, Bob.
